Timezone

Privacy Policy

Timezone collects nothing.

Last updated 30 July 2026.

This policy covers the iPhone app Timezone: World Clock Widget and this website. It is short because there is very little to describe.

What the app collects

Nothing. Timezone does not collect, transmit, store on a server, sell, or share any personal data whatsoever.

The app contains no networking code. Its city catalog, world map and solar calculations are all compiled into the app itself, so it never contacts any server — not ours, and not anyone else’s. It works with the device in airplane mode.

There is no account and no sign-in. There is no analytics or crash-reporting SDK. There is no advertising and no advertising identifier. There is no tracking, in the App Tracking Transparency sense or any other.

Permissions the app does not ask for

  • Location. Timezone never requests location access. Your primary city is suggested from the time zone your device is already set to, which requires no permission.
  • Contacts, photos, calendar, microphone, camera, health, Bluetooth. None are requested or used.
  • Notifications. The app does not send them.

What stays on your device

Your chosen cities and their order, your primary city, your 12-hour or 24-hour preference, your language choice, and whether you have seen the introduction. These are stored in the app’s own storage on your iPhone and in a shared app group so the widgets can display the same cities. They never leave the device.

Deleting the app deletes all of it. There is no copy anywhere else to request or erase.

Apple

If you install the app from the App Store, or take part in a TestFlight beta, Apple may collect information under its own policies — for example download and crash statistics. That happens between you and Apple; we receive only anonymous, aggregate figures that cannot identify anyone. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.

This website

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. It is served as static files by Cloudflare Pages, which keeps standard server logs (including IP addresses) for security and abuse prevention under Cloudflare’s privacy policy. We do not read, export or use those logs.

The clock shown on the home page runs entirely in your browser. Your time zone is read from your browser’s own settings to display it and is never sent anywhere.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Since the app collects no data, any change is likely to be a clarification rather than a new practice.
