Bugs, requests for cities that aren’t in the catalog, and translation corrections are all welcome. Including your iPhone model and iOS version helps.

Common questions

How do I add a city?
Tap + beside “My Locations” on the World Clock screen and search. You can search by city, by country, or by an alias — typing “Praha” or “Central European Time” both find Prague.
My city isn’t in the list.
The catalog covers 325 cities. If yours is missing, email the city and country and it will go into the next update. Any city in the same time zone will show the correct time meanwhile.
How do I change which city is the big one at the top?
That’s the primary city. It’s chosen from your device’s time zone the first time you open the app, and you can change it from the World Clock screen. Widgets follow it.
How do I reorder my cities?
Press and hold a row, then drag it. The order is yours and is used on the World Clock, in the Converter’s destination list and in the widgets.
How do I add a widget?
Touch and hold an empty area of the Home Screen until the icons jiggle, tap + at the top, search for Timezone, then pick Timezone, World Map or City List and a size. For the Lock Screen, touch and hold the Lock Screen, tap Customise, then a widget slot.
A widget is showing an old time.
iOS decides how often widgets refresh, and it throttles them to save battery — a few minutes of lag is normal system behaviour rather than a bug. Opening the app updates them immediately.
What does the badge on the World Map mean?
It’s the shared awake window: the next stretch during which both cities are inside waking hours (08:00–22:00 local). It’s computed minute by minute, so half-hour zones and daylight-saving changes are exact rather than rounded.
How do I switch to a 24-hour clock?
Settings → Time format → 24h. It applies to every screen and to all widgets.
Can I use the app in a different language than my phone?
Yes. Settings → Language. It defaults to System and offers 21 languages. Dates and times fully switch to the new language after the app is closed and reopened.
Does it work offline?
Completely. There is no networking code in the app — every city, the map and all the time calculations are built in. Airplane mode changes nothing.
Is there an iPad or Apple Watch version?
Not currently. Timezone is an iPhone app and requires iOS 16.0 or later.
How do I delete my data?
Delete the app. Everything it stores is on your device — there is no server copy. See the privacy policy.
